Feature deep-dive
Evotix deserves a fair hearing from any UK buyer. Global HQ in Manchester, offices in East Kilbride and London, twenty-five years of history as SHE Software before the rebrand, and an approved G-Cloud listing that makes them straightforward for a public sector body to buy. On safety and operational risk they are properly deep: permit to work, lockout/tagout, management of change, shift handover, process safety, hazard analysis, journey planning. On occupational health they go somewhere we do not go at all, with case management, drugs and alcohol testing and psychosocial risk.
The gap is quality, and it is a clean one. Their G-Cloud listing names eight modules — Risk, Incident, Audit, Asset, Behavior, People, Environment, Contractor — and quality is not one of them. Across thirty-one published solution pages there is no quality management page, no document control page and no supplier quality page. Their four pillars are safety, operational risk, occupational health, and ESG & sustainability. That is a deliberate, coherent product decision: Evotix is an EHS platform, and it does not claim otherwise.
So the choice is not really about which is better. If your obligations are ISO 45001 and 14001 with serious process safety attached, Evotix is a strong answer and we would not pretend otherwise. If you hold ISO 9001 as well, you would be running a second system for controlled documents, non-conformances, CAPA and supplier approval — which is the problem an integrated management system exists to solve.

BSI, the UK national standards body, publishes guidance on integrated management systems covering ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 together, on the basis that shared processes reduce duplicated audit and documentation effort. Evotix covers 45001 and 14001 territory but publishes no quality module, so the 9001 half would sit elsewhere.
